I was very pleased to select this website. I got a lot more than I expected. It is an interactive website about the way the Earth and its inhabitants have adapted since long ago. The website offers so much information. I loved how there was a student and teacher entrance from the beginning. I wasn't able to enter the teacher's entrance because it asked for a password, but I wish I could have seen what it involved. The student entrance, however, took me to a page where I could select different floors (Dinosaur, Earth, Resource Room, etc.)to attend. This site is loaded with information. It seems that any questions you may have can be answered by clicking on the idea/concept you are questioning.
I would think about improving the arrangement within the website. It is a little confusing because each page has all these different links that run together. It seems that it could be a little more organized by topic. I would also like to see this site be a little more interactive. It is important for the students to be engaged in something and this site is mostly clicking and then reading paragraphs of information. It might get a little boring or tedious.
This site could definately be used in a classroom, but maybe more by the teacher. He/She could project the website up on the board and teach from it, clicking and discussing topics and pictures/graphs/symbols with the class. You could also have your students use this site in a project about Eras. They could be divided and assigned an Era and use this site to research it. All in all, I think this site is full of important and useful information, but could be a little more engaging.
